Liquid β-glucanase for β-glucan removal in wort feed and other applications

 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Beta-Glucanase (BGS) is produced by submerged fermentation of Trichoderma reesei followed by purification, formulation and drying. The product contains high activity of β-Glucanase that efficiently catalyzes the depolymerization of β-Glucan in plant materials.

 

MECHANISM

β-Glucan presents big challenges in many cases in that it causes high viscosity leading to difficult filtration and inefficient digestion and absorption of feed. The β-Glucanase in the product is capable of degrading the β-Glucans to produce low molecular non-viscous oiligomers, which helps get rid of the problem.

 

APPLICATION

Ø  Feed industry

l  Either added into feed or taken together with feed, the viscosity of feed containing β-Glucan will be greatly reduced in animal’s digestive tract, improving the biological value of feed.

Ø  Brewing

l  Added into mash tank, the product will reduce wort viscosity a lot by adequately degrading β-Glucans in malt or adjunct (especially barley), improving extraction yield, wort filtration and finally brewhouse efficiency.

Ø  Sugar Industry

l  In sugar industry the sugar cane may often be infected with microorganism producing high molecular β-Glucans. These β-Glucans cause high viscosity and filtration problems leading to yield loss due to difficult sugar crystalization. The use of Beta-Glucanase (BGS) will address the issue.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION

The recommended dosage is 0.1-3kg/t DS. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectations and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the smallest quantity.

Enzyme preparations are proteins that may induce sensitization and cause allergic type of symptoms in susceptible individuals. Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes or nasal mucosa. Any direct contact with human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, please consult a doctor.

 

WARNINGS

Keep sealed after use every time to avoid microbial infections and inactivation of enzymes until its finish.

 

 

PACKAGE AND STORAGE

Ø  Package 25kg/drum.

Ø  Storage Keep sealed in a dry and cool place and avoid direct sunlight. Slight sedimentation is acceptable since it will not impact performance of the product.

Ø  Shelf life:  12 months in a dry and cool place.
